| Number of Dean Supporters. By Maya Hermann. I've been tracking the Americans for Dean numbers (if anyone wants the Excel file, email me). So far, we've been adding a little more than 1,000 people per day--today, we added almost 2,000. But, in order to get to Trippi's stated goal of 450,000 by September 30, we need to add an average of 3,500 people a day from here on out. Of course, we can expect peaks around Meetups (of which there are two before the end of September) and the Sleepless Summer Tour. But, to meet our goal, we've got a whole lot of work to do! | |

| Beau, thanks, that helped. It does look like 56% came from 4 states: CA 27% NY 15% VT 8% MA 7% 44% from the other 46 states. Anyway, despite the guy's bogus claim, I think that we can still learn something from this. There are probably a lot of states that aren't as involved yet. http://www.opensecrets.org/presidential/donordems.asp link has graphic of "number of contributors". Bush: 19k Kerry: 10k Dean: 9.5k Edwards: 8.7k Lieberman 6.7k Gephardt: 5.4k Larouche 2.8k Graham 2.6k Kucinich: 1.3k Mosley-Braun, Sharpton, Phillips, Biden all less than 300 Note also that 12,324 of Bush's contributors gave more than $2000, compared to 3,490 for Kerry and 827 for Dean.
